OK i've been meaning to post this a while,i got a 30 velocity with 3 200mercs that goes 70 it has 26 choppers. My other boat is a 26 scarab cc with a 200 also,it had a 24 chopper that ran 5200 rpm at 35 mph. Iput on a 19 pitch throphy and went 43,at 5700 rpm,granted i picked up 500rpm,thats 8 mph,figure 5 mph in reality cause of the rpm pickup. My question is will ipick up 5 mph on my velocity if i put on 4 blade throphy's who knows what pitch,instead of the choppers. The motas are on the transom,a inch below thebottom,with cle gearcases,and the boat has a pad about a foot wide. I would gladly spend 2 grand for5 mph on props.themotas spin 5900 rpm thanks tripps

Tripps with 4 blades you should pick up a ton of midrange/cruising and gas milage. Who has an exchange program ?
I remember Bill Skill had a tempest on the baja that was great, better than any chopper he tried. I never could understand that if he could spin a 23 tempest Y did he not have enough power to spin a 25 mirage over 2k rpm and get on plain? I know the tempest had vent holes.

A good call would be to Matt & Julie , they just recently sold their tripple OB boat last Summer with a similar hull configuration as yours. He has a ton of personal experience with your configuration.
