Mirage vs. Mirage Plus

Can anyone comment on how much of a difference in operation between a Mirage and a Mirage Plus. I bought a used boat and have found that I have one of each. I know they SHOULD match, but how much of a difference, if any, would it make? I know that one engine seems faster than the other.

Re: Mirage vs. Mirage Plus

The Mirage Plus has increased blade surface area and additional cup in it. The Mirage Plus should have the lower RPM if they are of the same pitch.
You will want to remedy this situation and get a matched set.

Re: Mirage vs. Mirage Plus

Actually, the blade area is about the same. The biggest difference is in the trailing edge cup. The original Mirage was designed to replace the TRS cleavers. It is a very fast propeller on the right application. Problem was there were more applications that benefited from the "Plus" design. The other big difference is the Mirage plus has PVS system and the square bore Flo-tourqe 2 hub system. The rpm increase on the standard Mirage is due to higher slip.

Although your hubs will be different, we can match the Mirage to the Mirage Plus for you.
