I have a 1997 242 checkmate convincor with a 7.4 procharged motor in it and running a 26 pitch bravo prop all last year and during the summer I was running 4700 rpm and gps at 71 mph but in the fall I was running gps 74 mph and hitting the limiter would a 28 labbed be a better prop to run this year

It depends if you want to prop for the summers or the cooler shoulder season months. It is obvious that your experiencing higher RPM in the cooler months and this is normal. So if you want to prop for summer months you would go with a labbed 28 which will run an RPM close to your stock 26P Bravo I. In the shoulder seasons you will need to re-prop or increase the pitch on your 26P possibly to pull you off of the rev limiter. Did you move your Rev limiter when you added the procharger? Typically you will increase your RPM 500-200 RPM with that type of upgrade.

You didn't mention if the 26 Bravo 1 was stock. I'm assuming it is. We could do a special curve 28 Lab Bravo 1 that should keep you in the power band for all seasons. The 28P would help your cruise speeds too.

yes the 26 is prop and I didnt bump my rev limiter up any dont really want to run no more then 4800 rpms on the 7.4 I dont think it would handle it too long
If you fixed me up a labbed 28 would my speed pick up any

You should gain speed thoughout the range from cruise to top end. The only loss though minor, would be time to plane.
