Need adivce for props on 32 cat trip 2.5 merc
 

Hey i just got this 32 supercat with 3 2.5 merc's the boat came without props i have no idea even where to start .....

i would see if you could borrow some just to get a baseline and then go from there... finding three to borrow might be difficult....

What do you plan to do with the boat and how do you plan to use it.

For pure top end the outboard cleavers will give you the best top end speed. Other than top end the over hub cleavers really are not the best selection.

If you are looking for cruise speed, acceleration and better plane-off there are other choices that may work better for you.

Which motors do you have, the 2.5 Offshore motors? What gear ratio do the motors have?

We have historically set the boat up with 14.5x32 3bl's and have had success throughout the rpm range from holeshot to top end. Occasionally 15" diameter or 30P was needed. If your testing, look for part numbers 822271A62 and 822270A62 in the Merc line. I'm sure your g.r. is 1.87 since they almost all are without special ordering. Call us if you have any other questions.
