Thank you Mwdill.
What's your speed at wide open throttle, what gear ratio do you have? Have you changed the drive height? How does the boat come on plane? Does the prop have the diffuser ring? With that kind of power you shouldn't need more bow lift. Your current prop is closer to 15" diameter now. I wouldn't go any smaller than 15". Matt |

Hello Warlocking,
I'm assuming you have a high X dimention. Do you know what it is? This may be the key. |

Re: prop info. for a 29 warlock v bottom
Your prop shaft should now be about 2 1/4" below the bottom of the hull. Which F1 boat did this used to be? I did prop work on a lot of the F1 boats, it may be a boat I worked with.
Your rough water stability will be enhanced with more blades. For the ultimate we have had great success with 6 blade props on boats like yours. The prop really stays hooked up in rough water and adds stability at high speeds. Another option would be to go with a 5 blade. If you want to try a 5 blade we have them available as test props. The handling issues are most likely due to raising the drive.
If the boat handles good at top speed I would agree you should try a 5bl prop. Your slip is over 12%. It should be a little lower. A 5bl just may be the ticket here. I'm assuming the bow doesn't try to drop at WOT. |
