Heavy Duty Hubs?
I threw the counter rotating prop off my Bravo XR drive last weekend when my "Stern Lock" prop lock spun off. This is the second time this has happened. (I thought it was my fault the first time.) Never again!
Anyway, in replacing everything the question is coming up if I should be using the "heavy duty" hub set that Merc offers for the Bravo. This is going into a stock Bravo 1 prop. I didn't know they made a standard and heavy duty. Any advice? Thanks - JON |
Re: Heavy Duty Hubs?
For the 1 inch prop shaft you can use the Flo Torq Hub which has a Nylon sleeve or the Solid Hub which uses a stainless steel sleeve. The Stainless Steel sleeve is recommended for 400 + HP.
