B# combo
Hi all, I have a question...
Formula F252BR 454 MPI-310 with the 28's it feel's a little sluggish and turns 4400, maybe.. with the 26's it bumps the rev limiter moderately @ 4700, yet peppier.. I am thinking on leaving the front 26 on, and changing the back to my 28 for a 26-28 combo... anybody ever done this ?? thanx, Jim |

Re: B# combo
A concern for sure.. i'm just thinking here..
my sources tell me the 28" set, are actually a 29" forward and 27" rear prop due to the different diameter of the two in the first place, 28" average number.... 26's are 25" and 27" pitch for a set number of 26" overall. The rear prop is a smaller diameter on both set's anyways. The load balances out due to diameter differential between pitch's. Jim |
Re: B# combo
The pitch stays the same while the diameters changes.
There are some new Bravo 3 propellers coming available through Mercury Racing. They will have a different geometry and a 4blade front prop. Should be available quite soon. |
