30p Bravo vs. 29p P5x results on 28 Daytona

I finally got a chance to compare these two props at LOTO over the weekend and not sure that I'm entirely sold on the P5x's. 28 Daytona 496 HO's, no boxes, prop shaft even with bottom of boat.

At 3400 rpm Bravo 30's = 58-59 & P5x's = 59-60.
At 3500 rpm Bravo 30's = 60-61 & P5x's = 61-62.

I've been told there's a 5-7 mph difference between the two props and this isn't even close. Unless a 30 Bravo needs to be tested against a 30 P5x?

The bow airs out more with the Bravo with less control. The P5x doesn't air out as much with more control. The P5x has much better hole-shot and mid-range punch, but as far as speed gains, maybe 2 mph faster at mid-range tops. I couldn't get any top end #'s, since LOTO is way to dangerous and snotty water conditions.

I think I need 30p P5x's to find the sweet spot. Thanks

I am glad to hear you finally tested some P5-X props. We should run your slip numbers to see were you are with efficiancy though.
