Prop Questions on Formula SR357--again

Been trying to get some things figgered out since I'm taking a few days off--maybe someone can comment on my findings so far.

Boats a 1986 Formula SR357 with MarinePower 454 EFI's now. Drives are rebuilt TRS's. THe X-Dimension (distance from center of main drive shaft to center of prop shaft) is 26". The prop shaft center is 9" below bottom of boat and drives are turning out. The center-to-center distance on drives is 33 1/2 inches.

I'm currently running plain-jane Mirage 21 pitche props with diameter of 15". Turning 4000rpm at WOT.

I also have a pair of OLD Mercruiser TRS cleavers---guys at shop had never seen them before and were really suprprised by the cup and solid hub to name a few comments.

I've talked to BBProps and Throttle up but never had all this data so they couldn't really say all they wanted to.

Is my drive hanging to far in water? Should that slow the WOT rpms? Comments about the old clevavers in this config?

Was gonna install them today but it seems they DON'T require a thrust washer--does that make sense? Someone recommended a thrust washer but it was over 1/4" thick and prop wouldn't go on shaft properly. Mechanic said the prop had shaft taper in it and no washer was required...

I am assuming if your drives are in the original placement then your drives are quite low, or your prop shaft is pretty deep. You may even find that 3B propellers owrk better on your boat.
