Merc Offshore props
 

A question for Throttle Up;
What is the differences between the bravo 1 and the merc 'Offshore' 4B props besides diameter(15.25"-B1, 13.75-Offshore)? Are the offshore props just a 4 blade Mirage? Thanks, Chuck

Hello Chuck,

The Bravo I propellers are a much higher performance propeller than the Offshore 4 propellers which are recommended for motors with a max HP of 175HP. With the diameters so different, we are really talking about very different applications for the propellers themselves. The Offshore doesn't compare to a Mirage Plus.

I know this question was for TU. I hope I'm not offending anyone by chiming in.

The OffShore propeller is now (as of 2004) called the Ven-sura. It was actually the original large hub Trophy!

Never lived up to its expectations. Really best suited for twin engine outboards buried in the water. Something like center console fishing boats.
