What Next ?

Goal - Get rpm's up at wot, gain top end, maintain mid-range or better it, planing is fine (I baby the drives out of the hole anyway)

Currently have 32 Bravo's inward rotation, getting 5000 rpm max out of 500efi's with XR's running 84 mph in a 05/35 Lightning, drives at 4.75 and tabs at 2. We tried some 30's & got a better plane with the same mid and lost 4 on top with rpm hitting 5300 rev limiter.

Some additional numbers. Planes well with around 3200. Starboard spins up quicker than port. Cruise's at 3800 60mph drives at 3+ and tabs at 2.5

Do I buy a set of 32's and ship off for labbing to reach goal (want to keep a non-labbed set on for spring) or is it easier to work with 30's to reach goal?????

With the 32P Bravo I propellers you have 14% slip, which is in the acceptable range. You need to run your motor at 5250 RPM at WOT as this is were the peak HP is produced. So you could lab your 32P Bravo I propeller and run at about 5250 at WOT, right were you need to be. You should pick up some top end.

Thanks Julie,

Just wasn't sure which was easier to work with in our situation 30's or 32's.

We will order the 32's and go from there.

Thanks again for the reply.

Re: What Next ?

We would also suggest the 32's Labbed to obtain the best top end. We would want to Lab the props with a slightly different than standard recipe to maintain your mid range. This recipe would net 200 rpm rather than 300-400. Labbing often decreases the cruise speeds by 1-2 mph.
