You have 16% with 1.65 gears and 23% with 1.50 gears. Either way your slip is to high. What year is your boat?

Mines an 2005. I was wondering if labbing, repitching
the props would help.I dont think 496's

Mine is a '05. I also tried lab 32pitch props today with no improvement. I don't think any cup was added. My dealer called Fountain to get some direction. I'll keep you updated.

You would think Fountain knows this. Everyone I've
talked to with a late model X has the same problem.
Maybe the 32 bravo is the best they could come up with.

It is very possible that your drives are mounted to high and this is causing the increased slip numbers. Drive spacers should help your situations.

I have found some 34 pitch props. Going to run the boat light this weekend if the rain stops.

34 Bravo 1's have a unique geometry in the line up. You may find ability to get on plane issues. If so they can be fixed to work well if you like the cruise and top end speed/rpm.

Where are the drives mounted in relation to the boats lowest point? What is the gear ratio? You may be able to use 5bl props to help but they may be a band aid too.

I had a significant 4 MPH gain going to -2 inch shorties & up from a 28" to 30" prop 5200 RPM 1.50 ratio 85 GPS vs 81 stock height drives on my '99 35 Ex.
