Bravo casting defect
3 Attachment(s)
R-hand rotation bravo 28. Casting defect on the barrel of the prop. I suspect this would affect the flow dynamics along the leading edge of the blade. Can this defect be repaired correctly? If not, any idea if Mercury would likely replace it without a big hassle?

Re: Bravo casting defect
It is not a big deal to repair the prop and make it look as if it had never been repaired.
If the prop is still stock and has had no repairs done in the past I would contact Mercury and see if they will repair of replace the prop for you at no charge. The Warranty is good for one year from the date of purchase, or 90 days if used on "high performance equipment". Matt |
Re: Bravo casting defect
If you have a receipt for the prop or the boat that it was part of, the selling dealer can ship it back within 1 year of purchase for a credit to his account. Then the dealer replaces the propeller. If that doesn't work, you may want to call Mercury customer service for their input.
