Starting out with standard height bravo's

What prop ? Have 28 hydro"s 4 blades to try out in spring

Do they sound close to what I might need ?

Thinking of sport masters -2 for upgrade , any one have experance with smilar boat with these drives?

I have standard xr (Donzi) in your case im told you can benifit from the shortys. pm Marginmn he did his & had some luck. Bret or Julie should be able to point you in the right direction. i think you need to go up in pitch with the shortys. ( if i was going to GUESS i would say 32p)

You're going to be close with the pros and cons of the sporty's. Those drives really need to run on the surface in excess of 85-90 mph to benefit from them. They also like boats that fly themselves.

Consider getting some base line numbers with the current set up first.

We have a number of customers running the B max drives and they seem to hold up well.

You need to pay attention to the prop shaft, it's made of hardened steel instead of stainless so it will rust. It needs to be greased regularly. I have seen some serious horsepower put through them. They seem to be more reliable than the XR in high horsepower applications.

depending on what you spin your motors up to? i think you may be close. or at least be able to get an idea with those.
hydros seem to run bigger.
ask the prop folks!! but from my experince prop testing sure seemed hydro is 1 or 2 sizes bigger with same number..
maybe i am just nuts :drink:
i had bravo 4 blades and could turn bigger wheel but got less speed than hydros.
i had non step 35 with 550 hp could turn the 28 labbed hydros to 5100.
my buddy has a 99 38 step bottom and with 500's he spun 27's
