Props for twin V hull
2 Attachment(s)
Hi!
I will have two Merc 2.5 EFI SS engines mounted on my Phantom 25 offshore rig next month. The propheight will be 0,7-1 inch below the bottom. The engines will be mounted 19/20 inches senterline to senterline. The boat weight will be apporox. 2.900 lbs incl. driver. Estimated top speed 90-100 mph. I have been reccommended to try Chopper 28 and ET 28 for top speed runs. But I am looking for options for good cruise and decent top speed as well, since the gasprices in Norway is awful (USD 6,5 per gallon...). What kind of props would you reccommend; Bravo One 4 blade props? Merc Mirage props? Raker props? Hydromotive? Any ideas? Cheeers! Toffen G |
Re: Props for twin V hull

Re: Props for twin V hull
Toffen,
It is probably best to run your 3B props first and to email me with the performance data including the behavioral characturistics. I do agree with 375stinger in that Hydromotives may work very well on your application. They have 2 blade designs available, but I would really like your opinions, on her performance with the 3B, as this will better help us to dial your boat in. Julie |
Re: Props for twin V hull
I agree getting the base line will be an advantage.
Once this has been accomplished, there are some Turbo propellers from Precision Propellers I'd like you to try. |
Re: Props for twin V hull
HI!
I will try to get hold of various props for tests. It is not always easy since the amount of props for tests are very scarce. I will test Chopper 28 and try to get hold of Mirage props. What is the difference between The 28 Quad IV and Bravo One prop? Cheeeers, Toffen G |
Re: Props for twin V hull
Hydro QIV is a stern lifting propeller.
Bravo I is a bow lifting propeller. Julie |
