Re: 241 Liberator prop

What is the weight of the boat "Wet"?
What is your gear ratio?

Re: 241 Liberator prop

Weight of boat is 4000-4200 wet (best guess, the weight I have seen on these is 4000 dry with BBC)

The gearset is 1.50

The old owner had a cheap stainless 15P 3 blade and the boat would top out at 42 @ 4500 on a 350 Mag carbed.

Thanks

James

My buddy just bought a 88 or 89 241 Liberator. It has the single Ford 460 OMC w/ King Cobra drive. It has the stock prop. He was wondering what prop would be good for it? Any ideas?

Anyone have a good idea?

Thanks in advance

400HP Alpha? Be easy on the throttle coming up on plane, and get a drive shower for it, prop it for the higher side of the rpm, it will make it easier on the alpha out of the hole and reduce the amount torque on the drive.

the 3 blades run well on that setup with a deep drive, try a Mirage Plus, enough blade to carry your heavy boat

What pitch? And this is probably a stupid question :party-smiley-004:, but what rotation (RH?), since it is a single engine boat?

Try a 19P to start, that will give you some info: as to what it will need, 99.9% of the single engine boat's run RH props.
