Prop emergency

I just got my 29' Fountain delivered. (525) and the prop is NOT  on the boat. Now the dealer is figuring things out but they're in Tacoma, I'm in Orlando. What prop goes on this boat and where can I get one TOMORROW??? I was planning to buy a spare anyways, but while they figure out where the prop went, I want to be on the ball and get to using this boat ASAP. I'll be looking online tonight for one (I think it's a 28" Bravo 1). Thanks in advance.

Throttleup should be able to help you but I would guess they are 2-3 hours away.
Yes, 28p sound right and I would bet left hand.

Shoot a PM to ' runnin gun ' here on OSO. Terry just traded his 29' Fountain with 525. Might try www.offshore-performance.com, and ask them as they have the boat now.

We are a couple hours away from you. I'm sure we have something for you. You have several options as far as props go for that boat. You may just want to test some props first before buying the spare prop.

If you like give us a call and we can help you out.

Re: Prop emergency

That set up has been delivered with 28 and 26 bravo props (right rotation). The 26 will be the best choice if you keep the boat full of fuel and a load of gear (28 has a VERY difficult time getting on plane with a load). Light load, 28 will be about 2 mph faster. Call me with your hull id # and I will let you know what prop your boat left the factory with as well as its performance with that prop.

Obviously you have received plenty of help from the folks on this forum.

Just wanted to say, If you need anything we would be happy to help too. We have set up many with Labbed 28 B1's.

Good luck and have fun with the new boat.

Yes, thanks to everybody for their help. I started the engine and put it in gear, looks like an LH rotation to me, but now the bigger problems is the rev limiter kicking in at 3krpm, so I will have to deal with that first obiviously. Thanks again everyone!

Unsane, check the "gear position switch" where your two shift cables connect on top of the engine. I have had several that get out of adjustment. That tells the computer that the drive is still in neutral and won't allow full rpm. That switch needs to be depressed when in gear. Two phillips screws to adjust it.
