Best All Around Prop For 24' Outlaw?

I have a 24' Outlaw. It is a '97 w/385 hp 454 mag.
I am only running in the mid 50's with a 4-blade 22p Bravo.
Tach is reading 4500rpm at this speed.
I know the boat is capable of much more than this.
Can I keep the midrange and gain top end speed?
Would appreciate input, any ideas on which way to go?

The 22P Bravo I appears a bit tall for your application. You need about 500 RPM if you are looking for top end. YOu could consider taking an ich of pitch out of the propeller for a 200 RPM gain and possibly lab finish the propellers as well. This will give you another 250 RPM getting you close to the 5000 mark. At 4700 you will have better top end and good cruise and at 5000 you will achieve max top end as this peak HP is produced there.

pashn8boater,
I was runniing my 272 310hp with a 23p prop to about 46-4700. Your lighter boat and more power 385hp should definately spin a 22p. I would think you would need a 23-24p prop. and it would run at 46-4700 rpm. You should be able to spin that 22p right to 5000 RPM . Are you able to trim up OK? Prop in good shape?

Where are you at in Fort Myers? I launch from the midpoint in cape coral.

I would try a 21 Revolution 4 and then have it Labbed.

Shouldn't a 24 Outlaw with a 454 Mag easily spool a Bravo 22?

I agree... I think at minimum a 23 and then also try a 24. Could be engine problem or tach/speedo off??????

As soon as the boat gets back out of the shop I will be testing with a 23" 3 blade Mirage Plus and see what that does. Yes, trim works great and maybe I just need more "seat time" to get used to this boat. Prop seems to be in good shape. No chips, dings or scratches. No vibration either.
