PVS is used for applications with through hub exhaust. Boats with outboards or non- through transom exhaust can control the amount of exhaust gasses allowed to attack the high pressure side of the prop blades. This creates ventilation to build hole shot rpm.

My 236 Rinker has a 600+ hp 496 in it, and I've ran both a 25 mirage plus, and a 25 Rev 4. If you didn't know which prop was on, you would never know the difference. I actually run 50 rpm more cruising with the Rev 4, than the three blade. Top end is 74.4 with the M+, and 73.7 with the Rev 4. :chimp:

I ran a Rev 4 on my old boat (Stingray ZP hull) and it was easily the best prop for it and only a MPH slower then any 3 blade I tried.. Tried one on my Sunsation 288 and it no likey thus it's for sale if anyone needs a 23P. In the Sunsation case the Bravo is definetly the better prop for it. I know a couple guys that run the Rev4 on their Bajas who really like em as well....

I heard you guys ate the best for props. I have a 03 Power quest Legend with 496 (not HO) with a labed mirage plus. At 4800rpm I'm at 60mph GPS. Wondering what you recommend for my setup? Thanks!

You may be doing just fine as is. You really only have about 100 rpm to play with.
What pitch is the M+? You might be in a position to go up in pitch and have the propeller Lab Finished to gain top speed as well as cruise speed.

How does the Rev 4 compare to a Bravo 1? They seem very similar. Brett, I am running a 30p Bravo 1 that you labbed on my Donzi. How would a Rev 4 act differently. More or less bow lift?

More bow lift for the Revolution 4 in out of the box configuration. But the Labbing procedure can cause the B1 to have more bow lift. I'd have to look at your file to determine the adjustments we made.

I don't think you changed much since I told you that the boat was running fine. It takes a bit of trim to air out and get the port tab up but I think it's normal. So you prefer the Rev 4 over the Bravo 1 for most applications? Maybe I should try one.

I prefer the Bravo 1 over the Rev 4 when Lab Finished to the boats desired results. I like the Rev 4 out of the box as a stock four blade upgrade from 3 blade props.

I was reading through this posting and thought I could get some help here. I have a Powerquest 270 Laser with a 502 MPI running a Bravo 1 24p. At WOT I am at 4400 RPM and around 62 MPH, but that isn't GPS. I know I need to go down in pitch, but should I go 3 blade or 4 blade? I am not looking for top speed, but more overall ride.
