I have two sets Mirage 25 & 27 in excellent condition (both labbed at Mercury Racing). See how your new Mirage 27's work. If you want to try either of these sets, let me know. The 25's have some extra cup so the top speed and RPM is similar. The 25's accelerate better than the 27's.

No on the XR shafts...they are the small shaft.
