38 Donzi zx prop question.
 

i am doing a poker run this weekend with a customers 38 Donzi zx. it has 525 SC's and Bravos. i have two sets of props labed 28 pitch 4 blade B 1's and a pair of 27 inch five blade Herrings. which one gives a better cruise/best gph efficiency. the run is about 160 miles give or take and I would like to get the best milage (if thats at all possible :drink: :p ).

The 5 blades should give you better crusing speed and economy, depending on what speed you are crusing at. Have heard that the Herrings have a little more slip in the midrange, but should still be more efficient than the 4 blade B1's

i was kinda thinking that. i plan on taking it easy. its a customers boat that i am just doing some work on. hasnt been run in about 2 years and i am just taking it out for a shake down run befor i turn it over to him for the rest of the season.
