Heating a prop

I recently dinged a prop and have some vibration. About 3/8 inch of one blade is bent sideways. I'd like to beat out the worst of the ding but don't want to break it off. How much heat can I appy to the prop to help work out the ding ? red, cherry red ? Does propane have enough BTU's ?
I plan on having the prop repaired later but don't want to loose a weekend now as the end of the season is not far away.

Sorry cannot help you with that one. You really need to send it to a prop shop to fix it for you. If done incorrectly you will be buying a new prop and may still miss a boating weekend.

Agreed, send it in. Too hot, melt prop. Too cool, destroy geometry and ruin prop beating on it.
