RPM change with labbed props up 1 size ??

I have '97 non step top gun. With stock 502 mpi's I could turn my stock 24" bravos about 4900-5000 with a top speed of about 65-66. Now with modified engines I can turn the same 24's to about 5300-5400 with a top speed of about 70.

I would love a little more top end but I don't want to hurt my mid range. Currently, 3400 RPM's gives me 45 mph. I'm pretty sure that stock 26's would pull my WOT RPM's down too much...but I am considering labbed 26's. How much would my WOT RPM drop with these??? How would they affect my mid range?... Or maybe I should just leave my 24's on and be happy with 70 mph :(

I would love some feedback from those in the know.
Thanks-

Labbed 26's will run about 100 rpm less than the stock 24's. Your mid range cruise shouldn't be hampered at all since you are going up in pitch.

would that be the same for going from a 26 to a 28 labbed? 100 rpm?

A labbed 28P will run within about 100 RPM of a stock 26P of.
