Mercury Prop Selector

Do any of you guys use this prop selector on the Mercury website in the selection of your prop? I used it to buy a Bravo 1, 26 pitch prop. Here is the link.

Yes, I've checked the program out a time or two...

Does anyone know where to find the prop sizes/pitches for the different models Merc offers?
Is there some sort of list on-line?

Thanks,

Re: Mercury Prop Selector

Go to Mecury Marines web site, go to bottom of pabe find propellers click on propellers another page will come up then click on products. They will have all of the different props. If you are looking for specific part #'s sizes etc... you have o go into the parts section

I know, a lot of work. It's in there.

No, I have not put it on my Scarab yet. I bought the boat with a Trophy Plus, 24 pitch prop on it, so I should pick up more hole shot and mid-range stability with the bravo. I am anxious to get it on the boat. Here is the link to take a look at all of the different Mercury Props, and what they are designed for.

After running the boat a couple of times, I have been able to max out around 75 mph on the boat's speedo, but I just bought a GPS, and now I will check out the speed on it. The Scarab feels like a different boat with the Bravo 1 prop.

Re: Mercury Prop Selector

Just tried it out and it didn't work out well for me. It recommended a 21" tropy or mirage based on boat type, weight, power and performance goal. I run a 26 hydro, a 26 bravo (on the limiter) and a 27 mirage. I have tried a 21 Bravo and am on the limiter as soon as the boat gets on plane.

Re: Mercury Prop Selector

The propeller selector is a great reference tool. I was at Mercury during its inception. Man did it have the bugs then! It is much better now. (Probably the 12 version) However, the machine is only as good as the brain and fingers inputing the information. The program can not ask questions or take little variations into concideration. (thats the trick)

So, use it, but concider the options prior to taking it as Bible verse.

Call a repitable source and discuss the purchase first if you can.
