what props are guys running on the 42 fountain flat bottoms with roughly 575-600hp and bravo drives?

What are your goals? Threre are several props that work well on the 42's but I would recommend trying a 5B propeller... they simply carry the boat better.

I think a 5 blade will work for you. However, your vintage boat will run great with Bravo 1 propellers. It will have better top speed than with the 5 blades and the cruise speeds will still be quite good.

Test as many propellers as you can.
