mirage plus and alpha drives

has anyone heard that mirage props hurt performance on the alpha drives? Stingrays web site states this in their prop selection area. have twin alpha drives and have had many recomend mirage plus or hydro q4x's for my formula 242ls twin small blocks 300hp apiece w/ alphas?
What do you all think?

I never heard of that. I know several people who run those props on Alpha's. Had my prop labbed by BBLADES last winter and we discussed the possibility of a Mirage Plus on my boat which has an Alpha.

I had the same boat, with the same power. It had 23" three blade Bravo props. It ran about 65 on a good day.

you may want to check with the prop gurus here on the boards, I heard that the hydro q4x's may be stern lifters-unless ofcourse that is what you are looking for.

Mirage propellers and Alpha drives are a fine match. They will run well together. Have no fear doing this.

As far as Mirage vs. Hydro Q4's, that's 180 degrees apart from each other.
