hydro vs bravo
I'm using a 26 bravo 1. I want to try a hydromotive to get some stern lift. Should I stay with the 26 pitch. Are they equal pitch wise?

Drop down to a 25 Hydromotive unless you are right at the rev limiter.
|
The Hydro is about 1.5 inches greater when comparing it to a Bravo. Not sure if the Quad 4 comes in odd size pitches. May have to run a 24 Hydro. They Hydromotive in most applications will not get on plane like a Bravo. Nomally a few mph faster on the top end. The mid-range slip may be greater meaning more rpm at cruise, and more fuel burned. Only way to find out is to run it on your boat. Good luck:D

Hydromotives Q4's are available in 1" pitch increments from 19-35".
|
Hydros can be faster on top end with Fountains. Not every boat.
Try the 25 Q4. |
Anyone have a 24 or 25 they want to let me try? XR drive

I like B1's better on non-stepped Fountains and I like to rotate them in.
Rotation can become a personal preference. I like the speed this rotation offers these hulls. There are down sides too. Docking can be tough with aggresive X dimentions. |
right now I run a 21Mirage on my 89/29 twin stock sbc alpha set up.......Im putting in 360hp sbc's and a counter rotating drive.......Id like more bow lift.......I think Im down to three props Id like to try.......25pitch......Mirage, Rev 4 and Bravo......any other suggestions???.......Im thinking Rev4 for my everyday prop and maybe a set of labbed Mirages for Poker Run/top speed props
Shoot!!!.......dont mean to hi jack your thread.......have been wondering where the Hydros fit in lately.......sorry |
