Hey BBlades!!
My prop is on the way! You should have it some time on Wednesday according to Fedex. The letter with all of my info is in an envelope taped to the outside of the box, so don't toss it away without getting that first.
Thanks again Brett, and as soon as you can get to it would be great!!!:D |
Are you having Brett tweak a B1?
If so, tell him to do what he did to mine. |
Hey Pat! No, he's doing a little work on my 25P Mirage plus. Hopefully we'll be able to eek out my missing 200 or so rpm! I imagine he's going to do similar work to mine though.
|
Oh, also, when I remove the prop, should I be able to see a little gear oil in the lower unit where the prop butts up to it? I sure hope so!
|
i also have a 25 plus that needs some rpm.let us know what happened

Not unless it is a little left from a recent drive lube service. Did you get the lube changed when you winterized??? |
I had the lube changed when they put the cable in last year. It wasn't much oil. It was just a little sitting in the lip of the lower unit. The boat only made it out one time after the lube change.

We'll look for the prop.
If there is any exhaust going thought the drive at any time, it could be unurnt fuel and burnt fuel combined. Brett |
Did my prop show up there today Brett? The fedex tracking is screwed up. I get a little nervous shipping my one and only prop across the country. I bought the insurance, but I'm sure it would take 2 seasons to get paid from a claim!

I do not see the propeller in the reciever paperwork. Check the tracking number.
|
I checked it again today, and it says it is on the truck for delivery. One day late isn't too bad I guess!

Use that 3 blade Brett is working for speed runs on calm water, and buy yourself a good used 26p Bravo 1 4blade for the rough days. Brett also has a good formula for the B1s that works well on our hulls.
I haven't seen too many Bravo one 26P available. How are the Hydromotive Quad IV? |

I have been thinking about getting another prop. You really think a 26P 4 blade when I'm having trouble with the 25P 3? Although, as we talked about before, my engine could be down on power some.
I haven't seen too many Bravo one 26P available. How are the Hydromotive Quad IV? Dave M. ran a 26pB1 on his 24' Super when he had a 385HP/454Mag, JMK406 runs a 26pB1 with a 320HP/6.2L, and I ran a labbed 26pB1 when I had a 310HP/7.4MPI. Another prop you may want to test is a 25p Revolution 4. If Merc made a 27p Rev 4, I'd be testing one for sure. Hydro Quad IVs lift the stern so I don't think that is the right prop. I have not ever tried one but I believe Dave M has. |
