Formula 311 SR-1 540 HP PROP ADVICE HELP

Hi I have a formula 311 SR-1 1987 Hull with TRS Drives and Borg Wagner Trannsmissions my boat came with dual 420 High Performance engines and has at the moment 23 Pitch Mirage Blades.

I want to know if someone can recommend me to which props and which pitch to upgrade my props Ive been told my many people that 4 blade props are the way to go any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Saul

Hydromotive Quad 4's seem to work well on the 311's. Don't know what pitch you would need though....

Unless you raise your X-dimension, on all/most 1987 vintage vee hulls boats the Mirage props will give you the best all around performance. The Mirage props should be acceptable getting on plane and in the mid-range and provide the best top end speed.
Post all your performance results and maybe you will find that labbing your current props will be you best value.

Thanks Ben, but I really want to try and switch to a 4 Blade either Hydromotive or Bravo 1 but still not sure to which pitch and which one will work better on a 311

I ran 28 pitch 4 blade Hydromotive on my 311 with 600 HP blower motors and Bravos. She ran 88 MPH

Thanks thats good info I am thinking on going BRAVO 1 26 Pitch 4 Blades,
What you think would work better Hydromotives or BRAVO 1's

Saul,
You have the answer...do you really buy your friends advice? "Four blade props fix everything" does not apply to a 1987 TRS set up.
It is simple, call the pro's; BBlades or Throttle Up and plan on only buying one additional set of props plus the freight to test 1 or 2 pair. If your are real lucky you will be good as is or maybe just re-work your existing pair.
You will have to be willing to try a few different set ups and listen to the experiences on this board or either of these professional prop/set-up experts.
The alternative is to just order what your friends suggest and live with this results.
One other thought, why did your post not get a response from the pro's? Maybe you can call or e-mail one and ask.
I don't mean to be an AH, just trying to provide honest feedback.

I appreciate your comments I dont know why the pro's dint comment on my issue anyway I already spoke with Hydromotive and i guess they are pritty much the ones that want to earn my business just wanted a logical start point to purchase close enough props and if they were not perfect i would have to send them to be lab finished and complete the setup anyways thanks for your help kindly appreciated.
