Need help in selecting ss prop for 98 Maxum 2300 SR

I have a 1998 Maxum 2300 SR bowrider. The boat weight is 4500 lbs. It's LOA is 23' and 7". It's beam is 8' and 6". It has a Mercruiser 5.7L motor and Alpha One Gen 2 drive with an aluminum Mercury 14.5 X 19 prop. Horsepower is 250 HP. Top speed is about 45 MPH at 4800 RPM, but struggles when pulling a skier with 4 adults inside the boat.

I am having the motor modified to a 5.7LX by having a local marine mechanic install a new manifold with 4-barrell carburator. He claims this should give me about 280 HP. What stainless props should I use with the new motor configuration?

I was thinking a Mercury 19 pitch SS prop for pulling skiers and a Mercury 21 pitch SS for higher top end. However, what should I use Laser II, Mirage or Mirage Plus?

I would use a 17-19 Revolution 4 as a ski/all around propeller and go to the Mirage + for the all around/ top end propeller.

Call us if you would like to test a prop.

Thanks for the quick response. What pitch would you use for the Mirage+? Would you use, 19 or 21?

Sorry I missed this response.

Try the 19 first to se if you actually can pull these types of props.
