Prop Testing Results

1 Attachment(s)
Here is a spreadsheet with the numbers from my prop testing.

The 28P was standard not labbed.

The 30P and 32P were labbed

The Maximus was not labbed.

I'd like professional prop opinions on recommendations for the correct prop. The standard lower was almost the same as the shorty lower I tried, so I don't know if I need to be deeper or not. Gear Ratio 1.50, Boat Weight 5300#, 70 Gallons of fuel, 2 On board.

I'd like recommendations and to try a test prop or two. Please let me know:

Definately looks like the boat doesn't like the shortie.

What RPM are you shooting for?

Looks like a Maxus prop is the way to go.

Next lower pitch to get the RPM up?

Labbing the 29 to get the RPM up?

Just my semi-educated opinion

your speeds are not high enough to justify the need of a shortie. try a p5 30 hydro if you can. the other opyion would be to find a 30 max thats got a good labbing.

outside of that i would agree keep the max.

The boat handled like hell with the Maximus. Too much transom lift. Actually with the shortie, over 4700 RPM the boat was chine walking so bad I had to back off.

I am condering going deeper with the drive.

I was hoping Julie from Throttle Up or Brett from BBlades would get me in the right direction.

I'm open to suggestions from anyone that can help.

I'm with the Hydro 30 suggestion...but try the "X" if you'd like to carry the bow more.

Can you get a stock B-1 30P to test (without shortie) ? The fact that you could turn the 30P labbed more RPM's than the stock B-1 28P makes the results suspect. The mod's may not fit your application.

Check your Email .

Remember to reduce one inch when calculating your slip with Bravo I props. Also keep mind that the deeper the drive the less blades.

I high recommend Bblades. I just got my prop from Brett and it was everything he said it was going to be. His expertise is worth the wait. Hell he got trained from the best at Merc racing!
