:readinghelp: had my props refreshed and came up with these ### am running 38 fever with carb 500s 2/3 fuel and flat water 2 people 40 mph 3200 50 mph 3800 60mph 4300 70mph 4900 top speed 78 mph at 5300 rpm. plus they will blow out if i hit it hard out of the hole. think i could see 80 with lab work . ps im running hydros Q4 27 s dont know how to get % of slip

Brian, looks like you are at 13% slip for 78 @5300. Are "refreshed" props simply getting the nicks out..? no labbing done? If not, I believe your rev limiters, like mine were, are set at 5450rpm. Getting them labbed will free up more rpms, increasing top end before hitting the rev limiters.

yes no lab work has been done. wanted to start this with fresh props. is 13% a good figure???? or should they be better?? the boat is handling great.hope you are getting on top of yours havent seen you sence early this year at liberty marina.

The Carb 500's need to run at 5250 RPM at WOT. So your props are not candidates for labbing but you could definately step up in pitch and then lab finish. Hydro and all semi-cleavers will blow out much easier when getting on plane....it is just the nature of the propeller blade design.

I have been a project in the works since I saw you last spring.
We are planning a weekend this weekend back at Liberty.
I have some awesome props from Julie to demo.. and you do not want B1's as they are bow lifters, and fountains carry there bow nicely. The QIV's or some of Julies CNC's work well on our hulls. Carder

I would recommend a CNC 28P 4B or 5B's which are very proven on your hull. If you go with Hydros you will run 28P labbed props. You only step up one inch of pitch with Hydro.
