ibzmotofmx; don't believe everything you hear about speeds on the water; most people are "stretching it", or their speedos are inaccurate. A Baja 29' w/ 660-700hp turning 24"p 4blade Bravo 1's @ 5000rpm's is right @ 67-68 with a moderate slip of 15%.

I would try a set of 25" Mirages, your x dimension on that boat is most likely a little low,the 3 blade runs better in this application, trust me I just went through this on my 33' Outlaw.

I would envision that 3B props will be faster than 4B when comparing a lab to a lab. Baja is pretty conservative with the drive heigth. I would expect the 3B props to be 1-2 MPH great on top.

If you like the 4 blades, I'd Lab 26's to configure to your hull. You will maintain the attitude and drivability and pick up top speed.
3bl props will always be the fastest on you're hull if set up right. Finding 10mph may be pretty tough. We need to raise our prices! We charge $320 to Lab Bravo 1 propellers, and we have been doing it since 1994, the day they were invented. |
I think i'm going to go with a set of 26P Labbed Hydromotives 4blade...give that a try..
