Prop advice for 24 cheetah stiletto
I currently run a bravo 26. I am running mid 70's at around 4800rpms, with 450 lbs of adult and low fuel
i like to run at 4000 rpm's mostly. I have 790 hp and 1.5 gr in a bravo1 imco lower. i am wondering about a 5 blade prop and one for loaded family weekends. This boat is a mod v i can provide pictures if needed. thanks in advance. |
Can you give us the specs on the motor ie:
RPM at which peak torque is produced RPM at which peak HP is produced Julie |
Because you are running very efficient per the info supplied, 5 blade propellers may only help in the low to mid rpm numbers for cruise and hurt up top. My early thoughts are that of a reduced diameter if 5 blades can be made to work. Also lower pitches may be needed per the response to Julie's question.

RPM at which peak torque is produced
@5000rpms 793 lb-tq RPM at which peak HP is produced @6000rpms 793 hp I like to keep it between 3500rpm-4500 most of the time. here is a link to the dyno and some pics http://www.hotboat.com/image_center/...=&ppuser=17392 |
I am also templating the idea of a 28 prop

With the 26P Bravo I what is your WOT RPM? Is it the 4800 @ mid 70's?
Julie |
I have had it to 5200 rpms did not gps that run
water pick up nocking around 80mp,I am aslo still learning the trim. |
Ok, then I really think for one we need ot get your RPM up to at 5700 RPM at WOT for starters. Can you get me a clean run on a stock propeller, please? With GPS if possible.

I will follow up after next trip, I will try to make a speed pass solo with the gps.
