Default Baja 38

I have repowered from 502 MAG to 496 HO and my mechanic told me I need new 4 balde props instead of the current 3 blades one.Is he correct ? and which prop should I buy?

The HP range doesn't suggest you have to change.

What are you running now and what are some of the performance numbers?

I have Mirage 23p, max speed is 62kn , RPM approx.4900

The 22 Bravo 1 prop will run similar rpm to your 23 M+. Since you are only at 4900rpm with a 5150 rpm limiter, you can run either propeller with the new power and concider Lab Finishing as a option.

You should not need new props with the engine swap. They are nearly identical in HP. You might pull another 100rpms with the new engines. Bravo 1 4 blades will give you a better cruise speed and the boat will plane out easier.
