Whatcha think
This past weekend was my first time out with my new boat, 1988 Formula 272 SR1, Current set up is twin 350mags/Alpha drives turning Mirage + 23p's
I'm getting a hair over 59mph at 4400 rpm's, I'm thinking i still have about 400 rpms still to go?... Any suggestions? |
sounds like you need a set of M+ 21s
I just happen to have a set |

Propping the Formula 272
I owned a 1988 272 model previously with 350Mags and then replaced with 350Mag MPIs. We reduced the pitch 1 inch on the Mirage 23s and got further up in RPM band. Even so ,no MPH gains were there. When we switched motors from the carburated 240 prop HP to 300Hps, the boat didn't gain even 1 MPH.Seems this boat would never want to run over the 60 MPH barrier for some reason?
