Welcome to the cult. :D Now get your butt over to the AT forum.

Get rid of the Mirages and get a set of Bravos! If you don't have any friends who can lend you a set to try give BBlades a call. They have a loaner program.

I bet the seller had a nice set on there when he owned it...

o.k...o.k....o.k..... i posted this for a friend, and yes no idea about this style of boat or the props, just what i was told third party, just trying to help a new boater out....he was asking questions as we all know big pitch props are tricky to get out of the hole....

If this was Aaron's 32, that boat was set up with 34 Bravo I's with high x-dimensions. That prop got great efficiency once it's on plane, according to Aaron. Also, many will tell you that once you get over a 32p Bravo, the prop efficiencies aren't as good... leading to a gear ratio change, but that's pretty extreme at this point. On Aaron's boat, that was an extremely efficient prop (I never asked him how hard is was to take off though).

In my experience so far with higher X-dimensions on a 32 AT, the Bravo I 4-blades can be tricky getting on plane (Some AT owners have run Hydromotive p5-x's on the AT with huge improvements in taking off and at top end). My procedure has been to tuck the drives, then give then slowly add throttle to gain speed up to about 12-14mph, not exceeding 3000 rpm, then put the tabs down half way or so and you should start hooking up, so bring the throttle up a little more to get back to the same RPM, your speed should increase enough to get on plane. Bring the trim up a little, then as you continue to pick up speed, start bringing the tabs back up until the bow will carry with the speed and no tab.

5 blades give you another blade to grab more water when you're cavitating taking off.

Personally, I am about to try the p5-x on mine and see what happens. Should be trying them out as soon as Lake Michigan calms down :)

Most of the guys use Bravo I props on the AT's with the best results... but the boats that have modified X-dimensions, and props with 32+ pitch are trying for speed, personally, I'm working on figuring out what works best on my boat. I'll let you know!

34 Bravo 1 props have a geometry different than the rest of the Bravo family. Planning is their worst attribute.

5 blade props are a great option.

After reading your question i did not see any thing saying mirage props so where did that come from, and you said 2000 for the year,, On my 2000 32 thunder with 500 hps peped up a tad i run 30 pitch at 5500 rpms or 32 pitch at 5300 rpms b1s with msd boxes, give or take a little. with a 502 with charger i assume you are making more power than me by a little so i would think 32s would work well, what rpms are you running with the 34 pitch.
