Labbed Props

How do you tell if a "Mercury" labbed prop is actually a "Mercury" labbed prop. Do they mark it in any special way??

Thanks

I'm currently in Iraq.... :-(
But, isn't there an "easy" way to tell if a prop was labbed by Mercury or not??

Ran-Dom 32 07-24-2008 11:40 AM

there should be some type of code stamped onto the barrel (where the prop nut goes) from what i've seen that indicates what type of labbed job ect. was done to the prop

If there are any hand stampings on the inner hub, get them and I'll decode it for you.

B4M
Matched props built at Merc Racing on the same date. Done by 2 different men to the same specification.

That was the original recipe, what they are now..........

who knows.
