drilling holes i the prop?

i have a 25' baja outlaw with a 23p 3 blade prop. i am new to all of this someone was telling me to drill a 3/8 inch hole in each blalde, and it would make it plain faster with out loosing any top end. is this tru or should i just change my prop? ( top speed is 63 with a 502, with a over 400 hours on the motor)

What are you trying to achieve?

um, ya, do NOT drill holes in prop.. or the hull..

Some outboard props have vent holes through the diffuser to help with planing. At low speeds it allows exhaust gases to aerate the blades for faster planing. The vent holes only work on through prop exhaust boats anyway. Drilling holes in the blades definately won't help.

Call us and we can help clear this up.

Don't drill holes in blades! Drill them in the outer hub only.

Boats without through hull exhaust also are affected by vent holes due to the incredible pressure differential created. However, through prop exhaust is more effected and the reason the concept came about.

Send the prop to BBlades and let him work his magic.
