Brett really knows his stuff. I finally got to test the new herrings he suggested today. I was at 108 with 17x36 4 blades. The boat tried some 5 bl 17x36 mercs last year to 111 or so but the new 17x37 herrings are amazing!:ernaehrung004:

That number was at 6150 rpms which is the rev limiter. wow! not to mention the boat tracked like it was on rails and the water was flat. I really think she has at least 122 in her with some chop! Thanks again

were those the older merc 17x36's or CNC ones that ran 111? What size motors you running?

Very Nice Numbers. Just curious what rake prop that is. And if all were the same.

Congrats

You picked up 11 mph with prop changes, not everyone can say they did that!! Nice numbers

The 4bl props that were on the boat had a best of 108 and they were 17*35 pre CNC mercs. The boat had a set of 17*35 pre CNC 5 bl tried last summer that ran 111+. The old props, according to Brett, were stamped 35 but were actually 36" props. I think the rake angle on the old props is about 15 if my memory is correct.

The new props are 5bl 17*37 with 18deg rake.

The boat has 900sc's in her that have had a little work done a couple years ago by Paul Phaff I think. They were rebuilt this winter and bored 0.60 over and the blowers were also went through. Other than that they are stock with #6 drives.
