need to increase prop pitch, but how much?

I had stock 525sc's in a 38 cigarette TG... flat bottom. I was spinning 26P B1's. WOT RPM's used to be about 5100.

I upgraded in power to some mildly modified 502 lonblocks... a little over 100HP increase per side. Now at WOT My RPM's are at 5500-5600, drives in and if I just slightly trim the drives out a little it hits the rev limiter which looks like is about 5700-5750.... Do you think I need to jump up to 30P? And where do I want my RPM's at WOT to be on these motors trimmed? thanks!

I would start at 30, and if its too much, then lab them.

Thanks... so what exactly will labbing do to them as it relates to RPM's? Also, what is the ideal RPM I should be shooting for? Thanks!

They can get you more RPM's if the 30s are a tad too much, by thinning blades etc.

The R's you need to run the motors will be determined by the engine builder.

We can Lab props to gain 100,200,300,400 rpm depending on the recipe. Increased rpm can bring increased speed and throttle response.

I would try stock 28's and stock 30's and then go from there. Use bblades test program.
