I have a set of 32 Bravo's that have been worked a bit getting them closer to 33's. They have added cup and although not labbed I had nearly an inch of the leading edges sharpened somewhat trying to get some more rpm (this left a portion of the blade at stock thickness for strength).....they still didn't work for my application so they are just sitting in the garage. For comparison, they run about 150-200 less rpm's than my labbed 32's. I'll let them go for $650.00

Russ C. What effect did the work have on the RPM? Were they better after the work was done? |

Rpm's really didn't change......added cup reduced rpm a little, sharpening them got that little bit back. The labbed (thinned) 32's I have do get a little more rpm but they are completely diffferent props.....I ended up with some Maximus that were the better all around prop so the Bravos haven't been on the boat much. |

My motors pull peak hp 5600 rpm. After 5600 the power comes down. What is my slip at know. :coolcowboy:

Your are at 4-5 % with the 36's assuming all your numbers are correct. Maybe try a 34 or 35 5-blade and keep your motor a little under 5600...I think your fairly close...I'm sure your motor makes good power from 5200-5600 so anywhere in that range will be good. Good luck Rob

Here is a prop slip calculator http://go-fast.com/Prop_Slip_Calculator.htm I would just send the 36's to BBlades and tell him what you are looking for. |
