rpms /rev limiter 496 mag ho
 

Does anyone know the rpms where merc 496 mag ho rev limiter kicks in? I want to make sure to be a little under it with my props and couldn't find anything online other than the recommended 4600-5000 rpm range. One guy on a forum said 5125 rpms but not sure where it came from or if true?

Going to be at desert storm. I know Mercury will be there. Do you think they will have any demo props? Would love to try a labbed maximus.

Thanks for the 5150 rpms info! If it barely hits this rpm,we need cup added but if hits it too easy I suppose new props.We will see Saturday.
