I would recommend going to Hydromotive directly for their props... they have a cool exchange/trial program. Bret at BBlades sells both. Chris |
the hydro is 15in, dia

I think this thread shows everyone how each prop varies depending on the application.
You can't say a Q4X is faster than a Bravo 1 because I have seen Bravo 1, Q4's and occasionally a Q4X be the fastest. The P5X is actually a attempt at a 5 blade Bravo 1 propeller. The blade profiles are matched but the TE and the thicknesses are different. That was the same prop Dennis, Bob and I built in 2002 (different diffuser) and evolved into the Maximus as it is today. Actually I guess Ron S. finished that design. We built a couple but the delays in egineering and production at Mercury always slowed us down. The Q4X is a 4 blade version of the P5X. BBLADES has all these propellers for testing for a $40 fee with a 15 trial period with no strings attached. http://www.bblades.com/pressreleases...essReleaseID=3 As far as pricing is concerned CB-BLR, I think you have your facts a little skewed. Call us and I think you'll find our pricing is less or the same as Teague and Hydromotive. Also, we Lab Finish specific to the boat unless the standard template is the best choice. Don't take the canned answer on the best prop for your boat, each is different as well as goals and usage. Brett |
Thanks for the clarification on pricing Bret.
I recommend you for prop labbing all the time. Chris |

The P5X is a great prop. Needed a little help out of the box and Bblades made it right. Just like was said, better hook up all the way through and added a little more on top than the 4 blades.

I'm sure you'll love them!
By the way, we sell them for $1025. The Maximus a $1050, and the Maximus Labbed to your boats personality (this is the best all around performer) for $1590. We also carry the Hering 5 blade (which can be the fastest on the right boat) for $1685. Thought I'd toss a little advertising out there since I am a paying advertiser on OSO. LOL Anyway, everybody have a great holiday weekend! I know I will be spending the entire weekend on the water! Brett |
