Mirage vs. Mirage plus

Hi...What's the difference? Also, while I'm asking dumb questions, what is "labbing"? Thanks! Den

My understanding is that the mirage + has a little more cup built into the blades...lab finishing a propeller merely tailors it to your needs and fine tunes it .

Mirage Plus also has the PVS Vent holes where the Standard mirage does not(or at least none of mine do). I have heard that a 21 Plus will run similar RPM wise to a 23 standard, seems like such on my boat, but its an eggbeater, so who knows??

they also made a mirage ++ !!

Not all Mirage Plus's have the PVS vents. The Mirage Plus has a lot better bite due to cupping and a better design. A mirage Plus spins about 200rpm less than a standard Mirage to get the same speed.

Labbing is thinning and balancing the blades on a prop. There are recipe's for generic labbing and you can have a prop custom labbed based on the needs of your boat. It costs about $350 a prop, but when done right can get you better handling and top speed increases of 1-3mph.
