prop test today 23p b1 w/cup 25OL mag
I figure I would start a new tread to post the results of this prop..
first.. copy from post on previous props
25ol 454mag
props tried (normal cruise at 4k)
21p m+ hit rev max of 62...."for sale $200+ride" RH
23p m+ 48-4900 loaded anyday 62 most days best of 64.7 light and cold at 5k! "for sale $200+ride"RH
cruise at 48 normal load or 50 light with good water!
21rev4 61.8 flat water, just me and hit rev quick 80degrees and could not trim. awesome whole shot..
cruise at 46 flat water @4k.
4500 was sweet spot at 56mph but too high for any long period cruise, but was able to trim and felt it!
24b1 1150lbs of people + 3 coolers 85 degrees, 4500 max.. forgot gps
24b1 2ppl 4750 at 63mph at 70degrees
cruise at 50-51
Todays RESULTS!!
Prop: 22p B1 repitch +1 and cup added (Leading Edge)
Bought from Magnum!
Water:argh... Flat again! only a lil rollers in Lake!
Temp 80 w/cool breeze
WOT 5000 at 62.0
could trim to bump rev w/ no gain in speed
4000 at 49mph
4500 at 55-56
trim at speed felt mechanical with bow raise. touch trim and bow raised quick
overall, I liked the prop! wot is perfect with load and water. Should put me close with load and better water in summer.
Also, considering the water was flat.. I would expect bettter slip #'s with a lil chop.
ODD: trimmed out over 4k and trimming down the boat seemed to fall over to the side.. like it fell off a pad?? I only noticed b/c I was trimming excessively up and down to see how boat reacted?? whats that about?
also was surprised I was able to turn it up that high. Was worried compared to the 23p m+. worked!
Again overall.. I like it.. No need to touch till real world test next summer loaded with ass and beer!!

I did the same thing today, tested 3 diffrent props on my 27 baja boss. It gets rather confusing, if my gps had a tach it would be easier.going from a 30 bravo to the 26 4 blade hydro was most impressive through mid range, but lost top end compared to the bravo 28 labbed 4 blade which pushed me to 80. still searching for top end perf and mid range all in one. might turn up the boost a bit..good luck

i hear ya.. I wrote them down in Notes on my crackberry! lol
so I could remember and that was just 1!!
Its funny, b/c props pitched by 2 apart can hit same rpm/speed depending on how it can handles the boat at a certain rpms!! i.e. the rev4 21p had the same 4500 speed at 56 as my new prop a cupped 23p b1s though the 4k speed was 46 vs 49.
both probaly would have been a good bit different with good 1' choppy water that it likes!
