Donzi 18C Prop Recommendations
We just picked up a 94 Donzi 18C with a 350 Magnum 350 - 375 hp we think, Custom Marine stainless headers, solid roller motor built by Sterling Performance. Prop is the a Mercury 16320 44 22" three blade stainless. Gear ratio clams 1.5. Seeing 60-62 WOT @ 5K rpm. Sluggish out of the hole. Prop & Skeg are dinged up pretty bad. Looking into picking up a skeg protector, are they a good idea? Any recommendations on prop selection would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Scott

Prop protectors are speed stealers. Repair the skeg when needed and try not to hit things. (Iknow easier said then...)
We repair them if you should desire.
The prop stated is a old Quicksilver QS. Comprable to todays Vengeance. Lab a Mirage Plus 23 for speed. If you are looking for water sports or load carrying help, we can offer other options from Mercury, Turbo or Hydromotive.
