4bl Hering experiences on outboards?

Hi,

I am considering buying a Hering 4bl bravo style prop with high rake. I have a old style narrow offshore hull, a Phantom 25 with a Vrod 350 sci. A Hydromotive X O/B 25 does not give enough lift. A A45 Tempest 25 does. A labbed Mirage Plus 25 a little less than A45 Tempest. The Mirage Plus can not be jacked as high as the A45 Tempest.

The gearcase of the Vrod 350 sci is big which translates to added drag (approx 2% more than a standard 4,88 diameter Torquemaster gearcase), but have good bowlift and maintain great water pressure if lifted high. So the clue for me is to get hold of a prop which can carry the bow while jacked high. Typically proshaft 2-2,5 inches below bottom.

Top speed is now 79 mph at 6,400-6,500 with a A45 Tempest 25 (ripple water). 78 mph with a Mirage Plus labbed 25 at 6,500-6,600 rpms (flat water). I have not tested wot with the Hydromotive, which is similar to a Bravo prop.

I ran typically 73-74 mph in same conditions and props with my Promax 300 back in time.

What do you think?

Cheeers and thanks! Toffen

Maybe we shall swap props for test?
Am in Arendal on tuesday.
I test your hydromotive and you mine Rev4 with extra cup.

I heard that Hering or somebody at Hering has the same boat as mine with Verado.
If that's correct I hope we can get some prop info.
