Revolution 4 blade Anyone???

I was told by a mechanic that a revolution 4 blade 21p would be a good fit for my 88' formula 311, 454/420hp TRS drives. Anyone use these and think it's a good match.

Can't comment on if it will work on your setup. But I can tell you that a rev4 worked great on my boat. Much better bow lift than a Bravo and just as fast as a mirage plus.

Great prop. Give it a try.

Do you guys think the pitch is right I believe he said it should act like a 23p mirage.

In my experience true pitch is much closer to stamped pitch number than a B1 prop. You will take a 200+/- rpm drop over a 23" Mirage+ to a 23" Rev4. Going from a 23" M+ to a 21" Rev4 will most likely give you 150-200 rpm. All this being said, stock true prop pitch within the same stamped pitch and prop model, vary from prop to prop and that can be a lot some times, so the only way to know for sure is to test both a 21" and a 23".

Going from a Mirage Plus 25 to a Rev4 25 I only lost 100 rpm.

I've been looking at these props too.

PITA to find a set used for some reason. It seems that everyone that has them likes them more than Bravo's or M+, but they aren't as common.

Everything I have read said they will drop you from a M+.

I currently spin 26" Bravo 1's on the low side. I think I need 23" Rev's to get into my peak RPM range because I think 25" would be too big.

The Rev4 25" and B1 26" are very similar in true pitch. You will gain some rpms from the smaller dia. How many roms are you looking to gain? A Rev4 23" should net you about 400 rpms over the B1 26"

Used ones are rare. I gave up and bought a new one. I think it's because they work so well that people keep them!

I think Mikeb4 on here had a used 25 a few weeks ago.
