7 blades vs. 6 blades?
Anyone know the pro's and cons of 7 blade Herings vs. 6 blades on a 42 09 Fntn w/700's and 6's? . Am considering trying the 7 blades. Thanks for your input.

i think that 7 blades are only available for bravo style drives.

Thanks,I did not know the availability of these props. I heard 7 blades had less stress crack issues.

There were some #6's but they have not proven to be all that affective over 5 or 6 blade props. Unless you have quite high slip% numbers, I'd really consider 5 blade propellers for overall performance.

Thanks Brett; I did not know 5 bladers might be better overall for my 42 package. Will seriously consider it .

coolerman,
oops brain fart on my behalf. I was thinking of the Bravo style 7 blades too. There are no #6's. The performance issues remain the same as far as the advantages over 5-6 blade Bravo style props. Thanks, Brett |
